Seeding Sunflowers (WEBINAR)

Learn from Nature.jpg

Did you know that seeds on Sunflowers are organized according to the Fibonacci system? Or these types of seeds are called achenes?

Nature offers us countless examples of combining learning languages together. Seeding Sunflowers session is all about exploring the magical world of seeds and combining math and art together.

If you can, explore seeds in the outdoors before the class. Otherwise, we’ll be starting off with a scavenger hunt looking for seeds in your pantry. See how many different types of seeds you can find! Next, we’ll be using these seeds to make beautiful patters to complete our gorgeous Sunflowers. Older children will be given an extra challenge of adding the most number of seeds and combining the learning with the fibonacci sequence.
